what's a credit card verification (ccv) number? |
| The credit card verification (CCV) number is an additional security feature for credit cards and provides you with added protection against security fraud. |
| The credit card verification number is also commonly referred to as the card security code (CSC), credit verification code (CVC) or card verification value (CVV). For Visa, Mastercard and Diners cards, the card verification number appears on the back of your card, usually on the signature strip. The full credit card number is reprinted in the signature box and at the end of the number is the verification code. |
