Geelong Legacy Inc. runs several events during the year to raise funds for Legacy’s work and awareness of
Legacy. These include:

|
"Keep the Promise Campaign" - August 29th to September 4th 2010
| Our main fundraising is through badge-selling during Legacy Week – 29th August to 4th September 2010. We are greatly assisted by the Nationalservicemens Association, RSL Clubs, schools, and by individuals. However, more assistance is always appreciated in this area. We have a wonderful group of supportive businesses in the Geelong region who donate annually to our cause.
|
| Bunnings Waurn Ponds has offered us the ‘sausage sizzle’ on Friday 3rd September to assist with our fund-raising.
|
| Since 1923 Legacy has kept their promise to look after the families of deceased veterans. Buy a badge during Legacy Week and together we can keep the promise. Donate at any Commonwealth Bank branch, call 1800 534 229 or visit legacy.com.au.

| 'Operation Float' is a day on the bay courtesy of the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. The event is held in February each
year and is attended by approximately 120 Legacy widows who enjoy an hour of sailing followed by a scrumptious barbecue lunch. This day is the ‘highlight’ of the year for many of our widows.
