Legacy kids

Legacy kids - Legacy

12 June 2013

Lorraine, Wyoming NSW

I grew up in the western district of Victoria and I remember the wonderful visits from a few Legacy kids. My dad was in the second world war and maybe this is why my parents choose to support Legacy kids, clearly not as lucky as my brothers and me. I do remember one particular boy who came back to visit us years later... his name was Richard Rojo, I think. Our family name was Hare, Leslie and Flora, Graham, Bob and Lorraine and we lived at Weerite from around 1946 until 1966 when we moved to Tesbury near Camperdown, Victoria. I have such fond memories of these special times and more recently my golf club at Gosford have a special ‘Legacy’ day each year to support the local branch on the NSW Central Coast. It is wonderful to know the great work continues.
