Legacy has expertise in understanding the individual situations and entitlements of the partners and dependant children of deceased members of the Australian Defence Force and eligible merchant mariners.
Legacy has a nationwide network of trained and experienced Pension Officers who are available to assist eligible families, where appropriate, to access their:
• government superannuation
• military compensation
• commemoration
• income support
• associated benefits
If initial claims for pensions and benefits are unsuccessful, Legacy will, when appropriate, arrange for appeals to the appropriate bodies, such as the Veterans’ Review Board and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
These services are provided at no cost to widows/ers.
In addition to assisting eligible dependants to prepare claims for pensions and other benefits, Legatees also provide ongoing advice and assistance.
