Perth Legacy - Legacy

 

Legacy is dedicated to caring for the families of deceased veterans. Today Legacy's caring and compassionate service assists 115,000 widows and 1900 children and dependants with a disability. Legacy is a voluntary organisation supported by veterans, servicemen and women, and volunteers drawn from all walks of life. Our support and services now extend to include the dependants of members of today's Australian Defence Force who lose their lives as a result of their military service.



Legacy is dedicated to enhancing the lives and opportunities of our families through innovative and practical programs aimed at:

  • the protection of individuals and families basic needs;
  • advocating for their entitlements, rights and benefits;
  • assisting families through bereavement; and
  • helping people thrive, despite their adversity and loss.

Militaria Auction - Sunday March 21st 2010


Many thanks to everyone who supported the Militaria Auction held at Legacy House, 64 Mill Point Road, South Perth on Sunday 21st March.

Perth Legacy is shortly moving to new premises at 1130 Hay Street, West Perth, which means we are now looking for a new home for our auctions, which are held every March and October.

Can you hel;p?

If you know of suitable, secure premises, accessible and with good parking and catering facilities, available for around eight consecutive days each March and October (and preferably free!), then we'd love to hear from you. Please contact fundraising manager Richard Whitehead on (08) 9367 5799.

Legacy Street Appeal - Friday April 16th 2010



Can You Help Legacy?

Legacy's Street Appeal takes place in Western Australia on Friday April 16th. It's our flagship fundraising event of the year, when dozens of military and civilian volunteers turn out to 'shake a tin' for Legacy and sell our famous Legacy badges to members of the public at shopping centres, bus and rail stations, airports and on busy street corners.

Can you help us? We're always looking for volunteers who can contribute a morning - or even just a couple of hours - to help sell badges.
