Sponsorship - Legacy

Sponsorship

Legacy is extremely grateful for the corporate partnerships it receives across the country. We are most grateful to our National Partners whose support endorses the efforts of Legacy’s commitment to care for the families of our deceased veterans.

Legacy welcomes applications from corporations to engage with Legacy and make a difference in the community. If you are interested in a national partnership contact the National Marketing Manager – Corene Strauss on (02) 92489000. For sponsorship opportunities in your area

The Commonwealth Bank has enjoyed a long association with Legacy as part of its commitment to support the communities in which we all live and work. Through this partnership, the Bank has helped to increase awareness of Legacy and since 1998 has raised more than $25 million dollars.

As national partner of Legacy Badge Week, the Commonwealth Bank is proud to sell Legacy badges in selected branches across Australia, with Bank staff playing a vital role by volunteering their time selling badges on Legacy Badge Day.

The Commonwealth Bank congratulates Legacy for their activities in support of the wider Australian community. Legacy is an organisation that embodies the Australian spirit of caring and mateship and one which the Commonwealth Bank is truly honoured to be in association with.

In 2009, Telstra and Legacy announced a long-term national sponsorship that provides both financial assistance and telecommunications services to the families of fallen Australian Defence Forces members. The national sponsorship is expected to leverage Telstra’s communications expertise to help legacy reach out in more ways to families in need and connect them with a support network of other families who understand what they are going through.

The sponsorship will enable Legacy to provide support services that help elderly widows overcome social isolation. It will also enable this geographically diverse organization, which is run by volunteers, to engage meaningfully with each other and share information across great distances.

Telstra will also work with Legacy to help them explore new online tools for fundraising.

Leading aerospace, defence and security company Thales is proud to have announced a multi-year partnership with Legacy in 2008, one of Australia’s iconic charitable institutions. The partnership is Thales Australia’s most significant community initiative to date, and demonstrates its willingness to support the charity’s numerous activities.

The company has enormous respect for the members of the Australian Defence Force, past and present.

Our company has very close ties to the ADF. A number of our employees are reservists on active duty, while others are ex-service personnel.
We appreciate everything the ADF’s men and women do every day to protect our country, and the sacrifices they make on our behalf.

Legacy recognises and honours our ex-servicemen, and the work it does in providing support to their families cannot be underestimated. We encourage all our employees to take an active part in supporting Legacy’s activities throughout the year.

We will do whatever we can to help raise both awareness and funds, we urge all Australians to get behind this worthwhile cause.
