Widows

|
Legacy brings together those in similar circumstances, thus providing opportunities for friendship and support with one another.
While they operate under a number of different names including Torch Bearers, Women’s Auxiliary, Widows and Laurel Clubs, each group exists to provide companionship, outings and activities for its members. They also provide Legacy with valuable funds raised through their own fundraising activities, support badge sales during Legacy Week and assist in numerous other activities.

Typical of the many widows supporting Legacy is Gwen Smart. Gwen is an active member of her local Care Group and helps out in Legacy House each Friday.
| I’m grateful for what Legacy did for me after Ced died. However, that’s not the reason that I help out at Legacy House. By helping out I keep active and involved. It’s great to feel that you are doing something to help others and it’s great to be valued.
| If you are a Legacy widow in need of personal advice or assistance please contact your local Legacy Club.
