Events - Goulburn Legacy

Goulburn Legacy runs several events during the year to raise funds for Legacy’s work and awareness of Legacy. These include:

Bunnings BBQ's 2017

Goulburn Legacy will be hosting three (3) BBQ's at Bunning's this year.
Dates as follows:-

Saturday 6th May, 2017
Saturday 2nd September, 2017
Saturday 16th December, 2017

ANZAC Day 25 April, 2017

The Dawn Service in Belmore Park was well attended as members of the community came together to remember the 102,000 Australians who made the ultimate sacrifice in war.

At the 11.00am Service it started to rain just as the march began but this didn't deter the crowds from attending. A number of Legatees marched on the day and it was reported that Legacy was very well received by the crowd.

President Jean Lloyd laid a wreath for Legacy at the 11.00am Service and she accompanied Legacy ladies from the Rosemary and Widows Clubs who laid wreaths on behalf of their group.

A few Legatees attended the Sunset Service at Rocky Hill and reported that this was also a very moving Service.

Legatees and volunteers ran the traditional game of ANZAC Day 2UP in the Kokoda Room of the Soldiers Club.

2UP was also held at the Gordon and Hibernian Hotels with the proceeds kindly being donated to Goulburn Legacy.

Legacy Week
Sunday 27 August 2017 to Saturday 2nd September 2017

The Legacy Week Appeal aims to build awareness about the importance of Legacy’s work in the community. The campaign also hopes to raise much needed funds to assist the services that Legacy provides to 80,000 families of Australia’s deceased veterans.

Over 25,000 troops have been deployed overseas since 1999 and over 5,000 new widows of deceased veterans enrol with Legacy every year. We need the public’s assistance to ensure Legacy’s crucial services continue both now and into the future.

The public has given wonderful support to the Appeal in the past and we hope that this will continue in 2017.

Since 1923 Legacy has kept their promise to look after the families of deceased veterans. Buy a badge during Legacy Week and together we can keep the promise. Donate at any Commonwealth Bank branch, call 1800 534 229 or visit legacy.com.au

Thank you

Goulburn Legacy would like to say 'thank you' to the Goulburn and District community for their support during 2016 Appeals Week.
