Goulburn Legacy
The prime object of Legacy is the welfare, care and support of our veterans’ families.
Until near the end of World War II, Goulburn war widows and their children were enrolled under Sydney Legacy with local individuals, mostly Ex-Servicemen, assisting.
With the upsurge of dependants in World War II there became a need to establish Contact Groups and a Group was established in Goulburn in 1943. Two years later in August 1945, Goulburn was granted its Charter and became an autonomous Club of Legacy.
Areas in the Goulburn Legacy District includes; Bigga, Braidwood, Bungendore, Collector, Crookwell, Dalton, Gunning, Marulan, Tarago and Taralga.

Services we provide
Socialisation activities
From monthly morning teas to group social outings and annual celebrations, Legacy provides a regular means of social inclusion for those we support.
Claims Help
Legacy can assist families with filling out paperwork and making claims through Department of Veterans’ Affairs; as well as advocate to government on their behalf.
Emergency relief
In times of hardship, grief and loss, Legacy may step in to help families get back on their feet by assisting with emergency funds.
Our impact
Goulburn Legacy ensures each beneficiaries needs are assessed and support provided based on their personal circumstances.

Reside at Goulburn Legacy Lodge which provides rental assistance and a safe independent living environment with their peers.
8 Widows
Are provided General and/or Winter sustenance grants to support them living independently in their own homes.
18 Widows
Receive a subsidised yard maintenance service to assist them in maintaining a comfortable living environment.
