Legacy's Annual ANZAC Commemoration Ceremony for Students

In beautiful sunny autumn weather conditions, a record crowd of close to 3,400 students attended Legacy’s Annual
ANZAC Commemoration Ceremony for Students which was held at The Shrine of Remembrance, on Thursday,
23 April 2009.

The very emotive ceremony was featured on the evening news on ABV Channel 2, GTV Channel 9, HSV Channel 7 and Channel l0.

The State Minister for Education, Bronwyn Pike MP and Legatee Graeme Standish, Melbourne Legacy President addressed the students while they proudly wore their relative’s medals, displayed their school banners, laid wreaths or flowers and enjoyed the performing MacRobertson’s Girls High choir and the Melbourne High School band.
