| On the significant date of 11 November, 1932 Mr AH Gilchrist and Mr HL Morrison organised a meeting to form the Legacy Club of Wagga Wagga. Mr GM Cox was elected President.
A week later the President of Sydney Legacy, Legatee K Morris arrived with the Charter for Wagga Wagga Legacy and inducted 38 inaugural members.
Wagga Legacy became the sixteenth Legacy Club in Australia. It conducted its service from different locations, but finally settled when the current 1893 bonded-brick home at 64 Tompson Street was bought in 1955.
The Wagga Wagga Office is the administrative centre for the Club and incorporates seven Groups throughout the region. It extends over 25,000 square kilometres including Narrandera, Cootamundra, Young, Deniliquin (Jerilderie, Finley, Berrigan), Temora, Southern Highlands (Tumut, Batlow, Gundagai) and Junee. Other centres, not within these Groups, but served by Wagga include Harden, Lockhart and Tumbarumba.
