The Legacy Torch Society was honoured to be invited to a special morning tea at Government House by His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland.

Each member was presented with a certificate and gifts by Governor de Jersey in honour of their commitment to our veterans’ families. The ceremony recognised the members’ promise of leaving a gift to Legacy in their will.

Legacy Brisbane President Andrew Craig and CEO Brendan Cox assisted in the ceremony conducted by the Governor.

Before the ceremony, Vice-Regal Dog Gavel welcomed guests in the Government House courtyard. Like many attendees, Legacy Brisbane Youth Ambassador Fiona Stevens grabbed a photo with Gavel before entering Government House.

A morning tea was hosted by the Governor and his wife, Mrs Kaye de Jersey, following the proceedings.
