- Newcastle Legacy’s main fund raising event for 2010 is Badge Day which is on Friday3rd September 2010 during Legacy Week – 29 August to 4 September 2010. We are alwayslooking for assistance before and during Legacy Week to assist with logistics of packing badge trays, transporting and supervising our student collectors.
- During the year our Torchbearer and Widows Support Groups run their own fund raising activities.
- Widows’ Christmas parties held in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
- Legacy Widows’ Clubs hold regular meetings and arrange outings.
- An annual Church Service is held at Christchurch Cathedral.
- A Legatee usually attends the final event of the Legacy Junior Public Speaking Award.
- Newcastle Legacy was well represented at this years VB Raise a Glass campaign launch at the Merewether Bowling Club.
- Newcastle Legacy welcomed our new Field officer, Pamela Kaufmann, on 19 April 2110.
- Newcastle Legacy took delivery of its new bus on Friday 5MAR10. It is the deluxe version of the LWB Toyota Coaster with a 4 litre Diesel engine and Automatic transmission. All of the seats are fitted with retractable seat belts.
- On 29 April 2010 Newcastle Legacy took delivery of two brand new KIA RIO hatchback cars with 4 speed automatic transmissions.
- They come with a 5 year unlimited warranty and Road Side Assist.
- The cars are very pleasant to drive and are well finished.
- They are all white with Newcastle Legacy and our torch on either side
