Each year there are a number of events to raise funds to assist Legacy’s work and also increase the awareness of Legacy
in the general community.

Legacy Adelaide Poppy Drop over Brighton Oval
On Friday 11th November 2011 at 11:11, 102,000 poppies were dropped from an Australian Defence Force Augusta 109E helicopter over Brighton Oval.

Legacy Kokoda Trekkers 2011 Annual Dinner
Legacy Kokoda Trekkers Annual Dinner will be held on Thursday 17th November 2011 at the Arkaba Hotel on the corner of Fullarton & Glen Osmond Rd.

Tim Noonan will be the MC, with Patrick Lindsay making an appearance as the Guest Speaker. Special guests include:
Veterans of World War II (Kokoda/PNG Campaign)
Paul Ashenden (Deputy Editor of the Advertiser). Paul has recently walked Kokoda and will speak of his experience on the trek.

Legacy Junior Public Speaking Award - National Final
The National Final, with students from most states competing, will be held in Adelaide over the period 12 - 14 November 2011.
The actual speaking final will be held at Legacy House, 102 Franklin St, Adelaide at 9:30am on Monday 14th November. Proceedings will conclude around 1:00 pm

2012 Badge Appeal
The annual Badge Appeal will be held throughout the state and Broken Hill during Legacy Week from Sunday 2 September to Saturday 8 September 2012. Traditionally Badge Day in the city and most areas is on the first Friday in September. In 2012 it is Friday 7 September.
If you are able to assist as a volunteer for a time on Friday or during the week or wish to know where to purchase a badge please contact Legacy on 8231 9812
