Welcome to the Legacy Club of Ipswich’s 81st Annual Dinner.
A special thank you to Air Commodore Christopher Sawade our patron, for his on-going support of Legacy, represented tonight by Wg Cdr ScottWardle and Lt Colonel Ron Armstrong from 9th Force Support Battalion represented tonight by Major Peter Borghouts and also to Wing Commander Mika Gray from 6 Squadron represented tonight by Flt Lt Katrina Forestenko . We look forward to continuing, healthy working relationships with both the RAAF and Army elements at Amberley.
As most of you would be aware both my wife Olwyn and I have not enjoyed a very good year health wise, Olwyn spent Christmas in the Ipswich General Hospital in Intensive Care, I have spent the last couple of months in and out of hospitals.

I would like to take this opportunity to public thank Legatee Geof Kleinig and Legatee Laurie Molloy for their outstanding commitment to our Club this past year. They have been the backbone of the Club. I would be very remiss if I did not mention Legatee Harry Barker OAM for his work in signing on our new widows. There are other Legatees who have given of their time to assist in the running of the Club and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them.
Our fundraising and Badge Sales this year was outstanding and once again our sincere thanks go to the people who gave up their valuable time to assist. The members of our Legacy Ladies Club were once again prominent in badge week sales. Thank you ladies. Our fundraising included the Legacy Bowls Day organized by Legatees Roy & Yvonne Folan and the Legacy Race Day organized by Ray Leschke.
Legatee Peter Felton
