Little Badge, Big Impact.
Buy a Badge and help us support the families of our veterans this Legacy Week 29th August – 4th September 2021.
The Legacy Week appeal has been running since the 1940’s and is a time for all Australians to show their support for the widows and children whose loved ones have served our country.
The Legacy Badge is a special emblem of support for our veterans’ families, symbolising our nation’s greatest values of mateship, compassion and fairness.
Legacy Badges may be little but the funds they raise make a big impact in the lives of our veterans’ families.
Legacy Week is from Sunday 29th August 2021 to Saturday 4 September 2021.
For NSW, VIC, ACT, QLD, SA, NT and TAS, Badge Day is Friday 3rd September 2021.
For WA, Badge Day is Thursday 2nd September 2021.

Battle of the Bases: Supporting Legacy
The Battle of the Bases is a competition between Australian Army, Navy and Air Force bases to raise funds for Legacy.
Any base of any size in Australia can enter the competition to not only win prizes (and bragging rights!) but provide much-needed support to support Legacy families in their community.
This competition is open to Australian Defence Force personnel across Australia.
Legacy Bear Hunt
Our bears have been spotted all over Australia and now you can see the sites with them!
This Legacy Week, you may not get to see the Bears out on the street raising vital funds for veterans’ families – but you can still get involved.
Lunge for Legacy
The Lunge for Legacy challenge will see participants complete 1000 lunges (500 each leg) to represent the 500+ Veteran families who have lost a loved one to suicide since 2001.
Through this challenge, we hope to increase awareness about the effects of veteran suicide on the families left behind.
Supporting the families of our veterans
In 1923 Legacy made a promise to help veterans’ families carry on with their lives after the loss or injury of their loved one. It was a simple promise that Legacy keeps today; providing the same stability, guidance and assistance that a partner would normally provide to his or her family.
Today, Legacy supports 43,000 partners and children of veterans who gave their lives or health serving our country.
