In honour of our centenary year, one of our wonderful volunteers from Hobart Legacy, Suzanne Curry has coordinated this nation-wide project.

Her Excellency Barbara Baker AC, Governor of Tasmania with Professor Don Chalmers (left) and President of Hobart Legacy Peter Hodge at Commemorative Service for Legacy Centenary in St David’s Cathedral, Hobart on 12th March 2023.

This Grevillea plant has been specifically chosen as it resembles the iconic Legacy Torch with an abundance of long flowering red/orange spikes. It is a low maintenance plant and small enough to grow almost anywhere.

The LegacyFlame Grevillea is available at Bunnings nurseries and some local nurseries. Not only will the plant increase awareness of the work of Legacy to the wider community but also a portion of the funds from the sale of the plants will be donated to Legacy which will go a long way in helping support our veterans’ families.
