commitment to assist the widows, partners and
families of deceased and incapacitated servicemen and women cared for by Legacy.
There are more than 5,900 Legatees around Australia who actively keep Legacy’s promise to care for the widows and families of deceased veterans.
WHAT DOES BEING A LEGATEE INVOLVE?

Personal contact with individual widows and families is the hallmark of Legacy, and is how we provide caring, compassionate and responsive support. In fact, personal contact is what makes Legacy care special, and gives the work of Legacy its unique character.
As a Legatee, you will help Legacy deliver hands-on
practical support including providing referrals to programs. services and information about financial assistance, social inclusion and youth well being.
In many circumstances Legatees also fulfill a
special role as mentor for Junior Legatees.
