About this Report
| As I provide my contribution to this Annual Report and prepare to hand over to my successor, I can reflect on the past year’s achievements, at the same time recognising that Legacy is operating in a constantly changing environment. As a Club, we can certainly derive satisfaction from the role that Brisbane Legacy has played since its formation over eighty years ago.Satisfaction must not, however, become complacency: like its ever-changing environment, Legacy too must evolve and accept change or face the risks of losing its way and becoming irrelevant. 2009 saw a number of initiatives at Club and National level which will prepare the way for the Club to move into the future.

A message from our president
| This is my first report as your new President. Many of you have expressed your congratulations on my appointment and I am grateful for your encouragement and support. Legacy, as we all know is much more than just the President and I want to tell you that we are blessed to have a group of wise, experienced and committed Legatees who make up your Board of Directors.
