Support our veterans’ families this Anzac Day and get involved with Legacy’s Operation Rosemary!
Each year, Legacy gifts sprigs of rosemary to the public to commemorate those who have served and sacrificed. Wearing rosemary on Anzac Day is a long-standing tradition; it is a symbol of remembrance and is especially significant to Australians as it grew wild on the hills of Gallipoli.
Legacy works with volunteers to prepare and distribute the sprigs on Anzac Day at marches, football games and other events. Last year, more than 40,000 sprigs were prepared in the lead-up to the day. Any donations go directly to supporting our veterans’ families.
Order a Rosemary Tray
Support veterans’ families this Anzac Day by ordering a tray of rosemary for your venue or workplace and collecting donations. While rosemary is Legacy’s gift to the public, many people opt to donate in exchange for their sprig. You can order your rosemary tray today here.
Volunteer
Help us prepare or distribute the rosemary! We’ll need your help to sprig the rosemary in the lead-up to Anzac Day at our office in the Sydney CBD from 14 – 24 April.
We are also looking for volunteers to hand out rosemary at the Sydney Dawn Service and some weekend NRL games.
Donate
If you can’t make it to one of our volunteering days, you can still support our veterans’ families by visiting our website to donate this Anzac Day. Any funds will go directly to Legacy families to provide financial, emotional and social support, such as assistance with education costs, bills and groceries.
