Community Visitors and Legatees
Legacy is a voluntary organisation founded on personal service. Throughout Australia, thousands of dedicated volunteers and members regularly visit or call those we support, ensuring they always have someone to lean on.
From monthly morning teas to group social outings and annual celebrations, Legacy provides a regular means of social inclusion for those we support.
Legacy ensures each family or individual’s needs are assessed and provides support based on each personal circumstance.
In times of hardship, grief and loss, Legacy may step in to help families get back on their feet by assisting with emergency funds.
Assistance with claims
Legacy works to ensure our families receive the correct entitlements, rights and benefits at all times.
Support service referrals
If we are unable to provide the services needed, we are able to recommend specialist services that will provide the appropriate support.
School-age education support
Legacy assists with education costs, school uniforms, laptops and much more. Legacy can help support after-school activities such as music, art, karate, or sports.
Support during Legacy Week
Volunteers can help by selling in their local area in the first week of September each year.
Lend a skill
If you have a specialised skill, you can volunteer your time within a range of operational areas including IT, marketing, fundraising and more.
Help out at one-off events
Several events arise throughout the year where we need extra pairs of hands to serve food, distribute brochures or run activities.
Get your team together and make a meaningful contribution by assisting in one of our programs or fundraising campaigns.
