Events - Warrnambool Legacy

Warrnambool Legacy runs several events during the year to raise funds for Legacy’s work. These include:

Legacy Week Update

"Keep the Promise Campaign" - 27 August to 2 September, 2017

The work conducted by Legacy is well known for its support of widows and dependant’s of servicemen who have given their lives or health on operational service or subsequently.

The Legacy Charter defines our charitable purposes as:
The care of dependant’s of those who served their country; namely, veterans who gave their lives or health on operational service or subsequently, and Australian Defence Force members who die in service or as a result of their service, affords a field for service.
The area covered by the Warrnambool Legacy Club extends to Port Fairy, Macarthur, Hawkesdale, Caramut, Mortlake, Lismore, Camperdown, Cobden, Timboon and Princetown.

There are 58 Legatees in the Warrnambool Legacy club who look after over 320 widows of WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam together with children and handicapped persons.

As we receive no government funding we make one direct approach to the public each year, which is in the form of endowments and badge selling. We can only carry on the work of Legacy with the financial support from people like yourselves, and are grateful for any assistance.

Legacy Week

"Keep the Promise Campaign" - 27 August to 2 September, 2017

Legacy Week is a busy time for Warrnambool Legacy and any assistance from the local community would be greatly appreciated. Help is always welcome during Legacy week as a fundraising volunteer.

Since 1923 Legacy has kept their promise to look after the families of deceased veterans. Buy a badge during Legacy Week and together we can keep the promise. Donate at any Commonwealth Bank branch, call 1800 534 229 or visit legacy.com.au.
